We are not sure what skincare products to use, or how to buy them. Many products are available in the market today, each customized towards a particular skin type. Find products that work for your skin type and the ones that will help you to fight unwanted pigmentation. Incorrect identification of your skin type can cause harm to your skin.

A simple test can be used to determine your skin type

Step 1 Remove all makeup, oil, dirt from the face by washing it gently with a cleanser.

Step 2 Put the skin bare and leave it to dry, avoid applying any moisturizer or serum.

Step 3 Don’t touch your face for 1 hour and look closely and note the skin type you have.

DRY SKIN

Having dry skin means your skin feels tight or itchy all time, especially after cleaning, and you do feel the need of using a moisturiser. Additionally, you may experience scaling or flakiness (just like in winters you can drag your nail to skin you will get to know how much dry your skin is).

OILY SKIN

OILY SKIN

If you notice that your skin is shiny and you have excess oil on your face, neck, shoulder, and back. During the mid-day oil production is at peak; you might feel like washing your face again. Blackheads, pimples, or cystic acne can occur when your pores are larger or easily clogged.

NORMAL SKIN

In general, you don't have much - or a few - oily or dry patches or breakouts. Aside from the occasional reaction to products, your complexion seems to be healthy. Despite the ease of caring for normal skin, this is one of the first skin types to display signs of aging. Keep your skincare routine towards moisturizing and anti-aging products.

SENSITIVE SKIN

SENSITIVE SKIN

You are at high risk if you are prone to irritation, inflammation, itching, or drying skin. Your skin is sensitive. If you often get pesky razor bumps when shaving or reactions to a new product, or even if you're sensitive to heat, you may want to avoid using that new product. The skin of sensitive people can burn easily as well as suffer from many conditions.

Is skin sensitive? Here's an extra note

In order to identify which ingredients, cause inflammation and irritation, it takes considerable time and effort to manage sensitive skin. Considered introducing only one new formula or product at a time to make the process easier. Neither skincare nor cosmetics are exempted from this rule. You can minimize potential reactions on your face by patch testing a new formula on your inner forearm. Before applying the formula to your face, apply to the area behind one of your ears if your skin does not show signs of flaring up.

In order for our skin to function and look its best, we must identify its needs over time. Your skin will remain balanced and beautiful if you pay attention to its needs and adjust your current ritual regularly to ensure that anything needs to be changed.
